Green Liberty survey for May 2023

As an historic opposition party, the Green Party has a responsibility to investigate and challenge questionable mainstream narratives promoted by government figures, mainstream media, and either or both wings of our dominant political albatross.

In order to democratically exercise this responsibility we need to know what registered Greens think, believe, prefer, and want the party to represent on their behalf.

The internet provides a mechanism for direct participatory democracy, which has not been honestly used by grassroots voters to direct their political representatives. We would like to model this as a method of responsible representative politics in our state. PGP-Lane has constructed an online survey about current and long-lingering issues of importance to many Americans.

Should the 1963 JFK assassination and findings of the Warren Commission be re-opened and re-investigated?

Based on widespread doubts regarding conclusions of the Warren Commission, and belief that this report established a lasting suppression of truth by government that continues today, there is currently a lawsuit by the Mary Ferrell Foundation following recently released records suing for final declassification of all government files to re-open investigation of the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy, who was threatening to end both the CIA and the Vietnam War. Since that time the Oswald-as-lone-gunman story has remained disbelieved by half or more of U.S. citizens, still standing today at 50% with only 38% believing the official story. Should the PGP publicly support this investigation? Or is it too late, a cold case too hard to prove, irrelevant to current issues, and risks possibly irreversible loss of public confidence in our government?
